Pixel Magic has recently completed stereoscopic conversion work on the final Harry Potter film. I've had the honor to work with them on this epic project.

As a stereo depth artist, I was in charge of setting the depths of the hundreds of layers of rotoscoping that make up numerous shots in the movie.

My first project with Pixel Magic, we have completed work on The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

This was a great new challenge for me and many others as we move into converting existing 2D footage into 3d. It is a complicated process that involves cutting out each object in the shot and creating a depth map which is used to create a second rendering of the movie.
